About the Artist
I discovered my love for oil painting 23 years ago when I took my 1st oil painting class in college. I only took the class because it fit my schedule and fulfilled elective credit that was needed. What an amazing accident this was and such an inspiration for my life.
Life happened: marriage and 3 beautiful babies. I was a full-time working wife/mom with very little time for painting. I worked for Skywest Airlines for many years and the perk for working with an airline was free flights and my family and I travelled! The photographs I took while traveling inspired my paintings and developed my love for landscape painting.
January of 2024, in my mid-forties, I decided to give my painting a chance. I quit my full-time job, built up an in-home art studio and now I paint. This life is beautiful! I will not have regrets or wonder what could have been with my art. My family is amazing and they cheer me on every day; and in return I am following my dreams and an example to my children.
I live in beautiful Western Colorado and have endless painting backdrops. I am also pushing myself with portraits (including animals) and recently found a love for painting classic cars.
